Don't try this at home!

During this week of renewed Star Wars mania, the BBC is reporting that two Lucas geeks and potential Darwin Awards nominees are now in critical condition after trying to videotape their own "mock light saber duel." A 20-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England, and his 17-year-old female companion had made the sabers themselves by pouring petrol into fluorescent light tubes and lighting them!

Both are being treated at a burn unit after one of the "sabers" exploded.

YIKES! Try this instead, kids!
