I'm getting conflicting information of who did Bandit's voice. Some sources say Don Messick, who is also listed as Dr. Benton Quest. Another source says Frank Welker. So I don't know.
Bandit sure was cute, though. Mostly he was a dumb but feisty bull terrier with black mask-like markings on his face - which is how he got his name. Bandit does know a few commands from Jonny, which do come in handy at times. He was no Lassie, that's for sure, but he was a lovable little dog who would put the bite on anyone who attacked his beloved master.
Posted by Bob Wallace, who has a pug not named Bandit.

He was so not a Bull Terrier.. It looks more like an small English Bulldog - not a puppie, but a teenager english bulldog :)

I've seen the original Doug Wildey galleys and Bandit is described as "Jonny's bulldog pup." At first they planned for him to be a monkey not a dog, I forget why they changed it... probably because someone said, "who has a monkey for a pet?"
