Richard Widmark died a few years ago at 93. I had seen all of his movies except the first one, which has the classic scene of Widmark pushing an old lady down the stairs. I finally saw it, and Widmark came across as a really good psycho killer!

Ah, the years of style and grace. Yes, I too wish men still wore cool hats. I just can't imagine Ward Cleaver hanging out at the skate park with his fedora on backwards. Back then we had thirty year old men, now we have thirty year old boys. Men in fedora's and women in white gloves. People then had style and grace. I was in WalMart recently... I won't go to that subject.
I do remember when my mom wore white gloves (she was (like so many other women back then) the same color as Lucy). I was walking down the sidewalk, holding her hand, when I let go, and ran a ways down the sidewalk. Looking up I saw a white glove and took hold. I was horrified! NOT MY MOM! Maybe I'll go shopping today and try on a Fedora.
